City of El Segundo, Kings unveil new inline rink with ribbon cutting ceremony

 

The city of El Segundo and the Los Angeles Kings had a ribbon cutting ceremony Thursday to celebrate the completion of the city’s roller hockey rink renovation project made possible through the Kings’ support and a $75,000 donation.

Additionally, the El Segundo Inline Hockey Association (ESIHA) hosted a youth hockey clinic immediately following the ceremony.

El Segundo mayor pro tem Chris Pimentel, Kings president and Hockey Hall of Famer Luc Robitaille, Kings COO Kelly Cheeseman and ESIHA president Jeff Tiddens attended the ribbon cutting and team radio analyst Daryl Evans emceed the ceremony. Kings mascot Bailey and the Ice Crew also joined.

The event took place in the center of the rink just above the Kings logo at 401 Sheldon Street in El Segundo.
