Fremont native, Jr. Sharks, GSE alum Tarantino bags weekly honors from USPHL
Ogden Mustangs goaltender Antonio Tarantino has been named one of the USPHL Premier Players of the Week.
A Fremont native, Tarantino stopped all 35 shots he faced in a 4-0 win last Saturday over the Northern Colorado Eagles.
During his youth hockey days, Tarantino played for the San Jose Jr. Sharks and Golden State Elite Eagles.
In addition, Fresno Monsters forward Stepan Skvirski also earned weekly honors after compiling six goals and three assists for nine points in Fresno’s three games against the Long Beach Shredders.
Skvirski collected four goals plus an assist in the Monsters’ 9-1 win last Saturday.
