The USPHL has announced that Chicago Cougars blueliner Trent Carter is the Midwest East Division Defenseman of the Week.

A four-goal game for the Cougars’ second-year Premier veteran last Saturday against the Decatur Blaze helped Carter, a 2002-born Las Vegas native, eclipse his 2020-21 points total of 15 by now standing with 17 points 2021-22. He posted a plus-2 rating with one blocked shot and two hits.

Back home, Carter played for the Vegas Jr. Golden Knights, winning a 16U AA national championship in 2019.
