The USPHL has announced its players of the week with a pair coming from California.

Ventura Vikings forward Ethan Yang is the Pacific Division Forward of the Week and Ontario Jr. Reign defenseman Christian Yi is the Pacific Division Defenseman of the Week.

Yang put on a show as he totalled eight points in three games. Yang had a goal and an assist on Friday, followed by a five-point game with two goals and three assists. He finished the weekend with a one-goal game.

The Valencia native played for the California Golden Bears, Los Angeles Jr. Kings, Santa Clarita Flyers, West Ranch High School and Cal State – Northridge back home.

Yi was sensational over two games. In Saturday’s 8-4 win, Yi added a goal. On Sunday, the defender netted four goals and handed out an assist.

In California, the Lake Forest native played for the Golden Bears and Anaheim Jr. Ducks.
