The USPHL has announced that Ogden Mustangs forward Cade Herrera is the Mountain Division Forward of the Week.

Herrera, a 2002 birth year from Brentwood, joined teammate Jake Meure, a Fremont native, in a chase for 100 USPHL points. Meure is two points away and Herrera is three points away at 97. Herrera jumped into that race with a 10-point weekend in the Mustangs’ three games against the Provo Riverblades, the South Shore Kings and the Utah Outliers, going 2-1.

He had four goals and an assist against the Riverblades, and overall posted 6-4-10 in three games. He has 40 points in 27 games this season.

During his youth hockey career, Herrera played for the Golden State Elite Eagles and San Jose Jr. Sharks.
