California Dreamin’ MLK Challenge sees 13 champs crowned over Jan. 16-19 weekend
The California Dreamin’ Hockey Tournaments’ MLK Challenge tournament was held over the Jan. 16-19 weekend in Southern California.
A total of 13 teams brought home championship banners at the end of the thrilling weekend.

8U B Flight 1 – Jr. Gulls beat Goldrush 1-0

8U B Flight 2 – California Surf beat Jr. Reign 7-4

8U B Flight 3 – Firebirds defeat Mavericks 2-1

8U A Flight 1 – Jr. Ducks beat Jr. Kings 4-2

8U A Flight 2 – Jr. Gulls beat Aliso Viejo Avalanche 5-3

10U B Flight 1 – Jr. Reign (b2) beat Surf 6-1 (Logan Stafford MVP)

10U B Flight 2 – Jr. Reign beat Mavericks 7-6 in a shootout (Carter Dmytriw MVP)

10U A – Aliso Viejo Avalanche beat Heat 3-2 (Hudson Cressler MVP)

12U A – CA Wave beat Surf 8-1 (Lucian Rohler MVP)

12U AA – CA Goldrush beat Jr. Reign 5-2 (Jack Thomas MVP)

14U A – Jr. Reign beat CA Heat 6-0 (Andew Ito MVP)
14U AA – SC Flyers beat Jr Sharks 9-2 (Aiden Wiedrick MVP)


Midget/JV – West Ranch Wildcats beat Surf 3-1 (Alexander Gilman MVP)
