Cypress native, Jr. Ducks grad, Vegas prospect Demin chosen NCHC Defenseman of the Week
University of Denver sophomore defenseman Slava Demin has been named NCHC Defenseman of the Week, for the week ending Jan. 5, 2020.
Demin had three points in Denver’s sweep of UMass last weekend.
The Cypress native and Vegas Golden Knights prospect had one goal and two assists in the Pioneers’ 4-2 victory on Friday, scoring Denver’s first goal of the game and assisting on the game-tying and insurance goals.
Demin finished the weekend with a plus-2 rating and four penalty minutes.
During his youth career, Demin skated for the Anaheim Jr. Ducks.
