This is his second career Hockey East weekly accolade as he earned Defender of the Week honors on Jan. 10.

Huard posted two goals and one assist for three points as UNH swept No. 20 Boston College on Friday and Saturday, Jan. 14-15. He was also a member of a defense that only allowed four goals on the week.

With the game tied at 1-1 on Friday, Huard scored to give the Wildcats a 2-1 lead in the third period as UNH would go onto win 3-2 at the Whittemore Center. Then on Saturday, he gave UNH a 2-0 lead in the first period and posted an assist on the Wildcats’ fourth goal as UNH won 5-2 at Conte Forum.

The Foothill Ranch native now has a four-game point streak with three goals and five assists for eight points during that span.

For the season, he has four goals and eight assists for 12 points. He is tied for first on the team in assists and is tied for second in points, while he is tied for third in goals. His 12 points are tied for fifth in Hockey East by rookies.
