Glendale native, Jr. Ducks, Jr. Kings alum Ghantous selected WCHA Forward of the Week

Northern Michigan University sophomore forward Andre Ghantous has been named the WCHA Forward of the Week.

Ghantous led both the Wildcats and the WCHA and finished second nationally in points (five) and assists (four) on the weekend, helping his team to a road sweep of then-No. 17 Bemidji State University.

The Glendale native scored the Wildcats’ first shorthanded goal of the season on Friday night. He joined teammate Garrett Klee as one of two WCHA players to record a shorthanded goal this season and was one of five Division I skaters to record a shorty this weekend. Ghantous also led NMU and the league with a plus-4 on-ice rating.

During his youth career, Ghantous played for the Anaheim Jr. Ducks and Los Angeles Jr. Kings.
