For the second consecutive week, Cornell University freshman goalie Ian Shane has earned ECAC Hockey Mac Goaltending Goalie of the Week honors.

In his first two collegiate starts this weekend, the freshman backstopped Cornell to a sweep at North Dakota, marking the first time since UND’s program started in 1946 that an ECAC Hockey program has swept a two-game set at the Fighting Hawks.

He finished the weekend with 55 saves on 59 shots, boasting a .932 save percentage.

The Manhattan Beach native starred for the Los Angeles Jr. Kings during his youth hockey career.
