Sherman Oaks native, Jr. Kings, Jr. Ducks alum Shipper decides on NCAA D-III Bowdoin for fall of ’22

The Flin Flon Bombers of the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League (SJHL) have announced that forward Gabriel Shipper has committed to attend and play for NCAA Division III Bowdoin College, starting with the 2022-23 season.

Located in Brunswick, Maine, the Polar Bears are members of the NESCAC.

“My goal was always to play hockey and attend a school known for its rigorous education,” Shipper said. “Aside from being one of the best liberal arts schools in the country, I really felt a sense of belonging during my tour of Bowdoin. All aspects of the campus such as the athletic, academic, and housing facilities were incredible. I’m very excited for the opportunity and would like to thank everyone that has been a part of my journey.”

Shipper posted 10 goals and 27 points in 58 games during the 2021-22 season.

Back home, the Sherman Oaks native played for the Los Angeles Jr. Kings and Anaheim Jr. Ducks.
