California natives Litzinger, Yang, Perry tabbed for weekly USPHL accolades

 

The USPHL has announced its Pacific Division players of the week with three California natives honored.

Forward of the Week is Long Beach Bombers’ Jackson Litzinger, while Ventura Vikings blueliner Ethan Yang is Defenseman of the Week and Ontario Jr. Reign goalie Nick Perry is the Goaltender of the Week.

Litzinger, a Lakewood native, totalled three points over three games on a goal and two assists.

In California, Litzinger played for the Los Angeles Jr. Kings and California Wave and high school hockey for Beach Cities. He also saw previous action in the USPHL for the San Diego Sabers and Long Beach Shredders

Yang, a veteran blueliner, posted five points over two games with two goals and three assists.

The Valencia native played for the California Golden Bears, Jr. Kings, Santa Clarita Flyers, West Ranch High School and Cal State – Northridge back home.

Perry stopped 41 shots for a .976 save percentage in a 2-1 overtime win against Long Beach.

Prior to junior hockey, the Chino Hills native played for the Jr. Kings and high school hockey for Mater Dei and Placentia-Yorba Linda USD.
