Torrance native, Jr. Kings alum Fortune earns weekly BCHL honors
The BCHL has announced that its 2nd Star of the Week is Nanaimo Clippers forward Patrick Fortune.
Fortune had two goals, two assists and four points in Nanaimo’s two wins over Prince George last week in the Coastal Conference Final.
After picking up an assist in Game 3 on Tuesday night, the 2006-born forward from Torrance had three points in the series clinching fourth game with two goals and a helper. With the Clippers up 2-1 in the second period, Fortune scored early in the frame to extend Nanaimo’s lead to two goals. After Prince George cut the lead back down to one, he added a goal and an assist in the third to help his team to the win.
Fortune now has five goals, seven assists and 12 points in 16 postseason contests, tied for fifth in team scoring.
Back home, Fortune played for the Los Angeles Jr. Kings.
