The ECHL’s Jacksonville Icemen have announced that the team has agreed to terms with forward Tanner Kelly for the 2026-27 season.

Kelly was acquired as part of the future considerations for the Icemen from a four-player trade with the Toledo Walleye on Feb. 23. 

The 24-year-old from San Diego joins the Icemen after a very successful rookie campaign last season, finishing sixth in the league in rookie scoring with 50 points (25 goals, 25 assists) in 66 games. He added three goals in eight postseason outings with the Walleye.

Before starting his professional career, Kelly played four collegiate seasons at NCAA Division I Michigan State, putting up 58 points (24 goals, 34 assists) for the Spartans and was a member of two conference championship teams.  

Back home, Kelly skated for the San Diego Jr. Gulls and Anaheim Jr. Ducks.
