Saints alum, Rancho Santa Fe native Georgaklis off to NCAA D-III hockey at Connecticut College
The NAHL’s Wisconsin Windigo has announced that forward Alexios Georgaklis has committed to play NCAA Division III hockey for Connecticut College.
An ‘05 skater from Rancho Santa Fe, Georgaklis will join the Camels at Connecticut College in the fall.
Georgaklis is a third-year veteran of the NAHL, skating the past two seasons with the Windigo. The captain was the only Windigo skater to play in every regular-season contest in 2025-26, appearing in all 59 games with a team-leading 17 goals and 30 assists for 47 points in the regular season.
In addition, Georgaklis laced up in all 10 postseason games and recorded six assists in the Windigo’s playoff push.
Thanks to his work on the ice during the regular season, Georgaklis was named a Top Prospect for the annual Top Prospects Tournament in February, playing for the Midwest Division team during the two-day event and scoring a goal for his team.
Prior to the Windigo, Georgaklis played in the NAHL in 2023-24 for the Minnesota Wilderness and Danbury Jr. Hat Tricks.
In his NAHL career, Georgaklis skated in 185 games, logging 122 points (43 goals, 79 assists) across three seasons.
Back home, Georgaklis played for the San Diego Saints.
