Trio of California natives cop weekly USPHL honors

The USPHL has announced a trio of California natives has earned weekly awards in the Premier Division.

Roman Adomitis is the Pacific Conference Forward of the Week and Tevin Stokes is the Pacific Defenseman of the Week, while Dominic Powell is the Atlantic Conference Forward of the Week.

Adomitis, an Alhambra native, amassed 10 goals and six assists as the Long Beach Bombers swept three games against the Rogue Valley Royals. The Bombers won 8–0 Friday, 11–3 Saturday and 10–1 Sunday. Two of Adomitis’ goals were game winners.

Back home, Adomitis skated for the California Wave, California Golden Bears and Rose City Pats.

A Palm Desert native, Stokes scored twice and added four assists during Long Beach’s three-game sweep of Rogue Valley. The Bombers scored 29 goals across the series.

In California, Stokes played for the Los Angeles Jr. Kings, Orange County Hockey Club and Rose City.

Powell scored six goals and added an assist over two games, including a game winner as the Connecticut Jr. Rangers finished Sunday with an 8–6 victory over the Jersey Hitmen, the game in which the San Jose native popped four goals and an assist.

During youth hockey, Powell played for the San Jose Jr. Sharks, Santa Clara Blackhawks and Pioneer High School.
