Anaheim native, Jr. Ducks veteran Isenberg set to join BCHL’s Centennials for 2022-23 season
The BCHL’s Merritt Centennials have announced that defenseman Kyle Isenberg has committed to the team for the 2022-23 season.
Isenberg, a native of Anaheim, has spent his whole hockey playing career thus far with the Anaheim Jr. Ducks program, serving as captain of the Jr. Ducks’ 18U AAA team in 2021-22.
Isenberg is already committed to NCAA Division I Air Force.
“I’m super excited to get the opportunity to play for a team like Merritt and take the next step in my hockey career,” said Isenberg. “I’m grateful for my family and coaches who have helped me along the way.”
Merritt head coach Curtis Toneff had been recruiting Isenberg since early January and has had great experiences in the past bringing in players from under the guidance of Jr. Ducks coach August Aiken. Isenberg also played for NHL legend Scott Niedermayer until Bantams.
Last season in 44 games with the Jr. Ducks, Isenberg tallied 37 points on eight goals and 29 assists to go along with 54 penalty minutes. He suited up for two games in the NAHL with the North Iowa Bulls and also played this past season at Orange Lutheran High School.
