Hockey East has announced that Boston College senior Cayla Barnes is the Hockey East Defender of the Week.

Barnes helped BC to a 2-0-0 week by scoring the game-winning goal, dishing out an assist, blocking four shots, and putting four shots on goal against Harvard in the Beanpot semifinal.

She added three shots on goal and three blocked shots in a win over BU

During her youth hockey days, the Eastvale native for the Anaheim Jr. Ducks, Anaheim Lady Ducks, Stars, Selects, and Los Angeles Jr. Kings.
