This season, Murchison, a 2003-born Corona native, is skating for the U.S. National Team Development Program’s Under-18 Team.

In October, Murchison, along with former Jr. Kings defensemen Aidan Hreschuk and forward Andre Gasseau, both Boston College recruits, and defenseman Shai Buium, who will play his NCAA Division I hockey at the University of Denver, were recognized by NHL Central Scouting on its preliminary “Players to Watch” list for 2021 draft-eligibles.
Murchison, Gasseau and Hreschuk were members of the Jr. Kings’ 2017-18 Pacific District champion 14U AAA team that advanced to the USA Hockey National Championships.
