The Greater Metro Hockey League held its annual draft on May 20, and one California native was selected.

Davis native and forward Owen Hervey went in the third round (39th overall) to the Richmond Hill Rampage.

Hervey recorded 10 goals and 29 points in 51 games last season for the Cleveland Barons 16U AAA team.
