El Segundo product, Jr. Kings grad Brockman commits to NCAA Division III Aurora

The NAHL’s Maryland Black Bears have announced that forward Jacob Brockman has committed to play NCAA Division III hockey for Aurora University.

Brockman, 21, just completed his first season playing in the NAHL and third season of junior hockey overall. The native of El Segundo finished tied for fourth in team scoring during the 2021-22 regular season with 31 points (12 goals, 19 assists) in 52 regular-season games.

“Jacob came to the Black Bears last season and sparked the offense with his dazzling grit and determination,” said Black Bears head coach Clint Mylymok. “We’re very excited to see his continued progression as a student-athlete.”

Prior to playing in the NAHL, Brockman played youth hockey for the Los Angeles Jr. Kings AAA organization and also spent two seasons playing junior hockey in the BCHL for the West Kelowna Warriors and Cowichan Valley Capitals.
