Jr. Ducks grad, Irvine native Hong takes home weekly honors from USHL

 

The USHL has announced that Madison Capitols forward James Hong is the Forward of the Week.

An Ohio State commit from Irvine, Hong collected two goals and five assists for seven points in helping Madison to a 2-1-0-0 record last week.

Hong also tied for the league lead in points and assists last week and had a short-handed goal and an assist in a 10-3 home win over Green Bay last Wednesday.

Including the game-winning goal in overtime, had a hand in all three goals in a 3-2 home win over Sioux Falls Sunday with a goal and two assists.

Currently in the midst of a seven-game point-scoring streak (3-9—12), the Irvine native has a 16-29—45 stat line in 45 games this season.

Back home, Hong played for the Anaheim Jr. Ducks.
