Jr. Kings alum Bagwell commits to NCAA D-III Wisconsin-River Falls
The NAHL’s Amarillo Bulls announced Monday that forward Trey Bagwell has committed to play NCAA Division III hockey at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls (WIAC) for the 2019-20 season.
Bagwell, an Arizona native and former Los Angeles Jr. King, was originally acquired from the Aberdeen Wings in January of the 2017-18 season. In 85 career games, Bagwell had 23 goals and 27 assists for 60 points. Six of those goals were tallied on the power play.
“It’s been a dream of mine to play collegiate hockey since I was a kid,” said Bagwell. “I’m excited to attend Wisconsin-River Falls to further my academic and athletic careers.”
Bulls head coach Rocky Russo said the team is excited for Bagwell and his family.
“Congratulations to Trey on his commitment to River Falls,” Russo said. “He will be a great addition to the program and to the university. He is a good teammate that will bring a lot to the locker room for the team. We wish Trey the best of luck.”
