Former Los Angeles Jr. King Dustin Wolf was named the Western Hockey League (WHL) Goaltender of the Week and league nominee for the Canadian Hockey League Goaltender of the Week for the week ending Oct. 28.

A member of the Everett Silvertips, the Tustin native posted a 3-1 record in four appearances, including his first shutout of the season, to complement a 1.01 goals-against average and .959 save percentage.

Wolf’s play allowed the Silvertips to reclaim the top spot in the U.S. Division while placing them second in the Western Conference.

On Tuesday, Wolf turned back 27 shots (two goals against) in Everett’s 3-0 loss to the Prince Albert Raiders.

The following night against the Saskatoon Blades, the 5-foot-11, 160-pounder collected his first shutout of the season, stopping all 23 shots he faced in a 3-0 victory.

Wolf, a 2019 NHL draft prospect, then led the Silvertips to a 2-1 overtime win over the Moose Jaw Warriors on Friday, stopping 21 of 22 shots.

A night later, Wolf, who was selected by Everett in the 2016 WHL Bantam Draft, turned aside 22 shots in the Silvertips’ 4-1 triumph over the Swift Current Broncos.

On the season, Wolf holds a 10-5 record to go along with a 1.74 goals-against average and .929 save percentage.
