Jr. Kings graduate, Calabasas product Krause garners weekly award from NAHL

 

The NAHL has announced that El Paso Rhinos forward Alex Krause is the South Division Star of the Week.

Krause, 20, helped his club to a weekend home sweep of the Corpus Christi IceRays as the Calabasas native posted four points and was a plus-2 in the two wins.

“Alex is our leader on and off the ice,” said Rhinos head coach Anthony Bohn. “He is a high-character person and he stepped up for us this weekend. I was proud to see him get rewarded for all his work.”

On Friday, Krause had three assists in a 7-3 win.

On Saturday, he scored the game-winning goal in the third period in a 2-1 win.

For the season, the Dartmouth College recruit leads the Rhinos is scoring with 11 points (three goals, eight assists) in 12 games.

During his youth hockey days, Krause played for the Los Angeles Jr. Kings.
