Bemidji State University freshman goaltender Mattias Sholl has been named the CCHA Rookie of the Month for March and April.

The Hermosa Beach native helped lead his team to three consecutive victories in the postseason, including a first-round CCHA playoff series triumph over Bowling Green and a semifinal round road upset at Michigan Tech to advance to the CCHA Mason Cup championship game.

Sholl earned a 1.79 goals-against average and a .935 save percentage, as well as registering 129 saves on 138 shots throughout five games in the month of March.

Back home, Sholl played for the Los Angeles Jr. Kings.
