Jr. Kings product, Costa Mesa native Christy lands monthly FPHL honors

The Federal Prospects Hockey League has announced that Monroe Moccasins forward Jared Christy has been named the Rookie of the Month for January.

Christy appeared in eight games and recorded five goals and nine assists for 14 points last month. His best two games were on January 10 against the Baton Rouge Zydeco with one goal and two assists for three points and then six days later, he repeated the same feat against the Biloxi Breakers with two goals and an assist.

The 27-year-old from Costa Mesa started his professional career in 2021-22 with the Iowa Heartlanders (ECHL) after spending four years at the University of New England (NCAA Division III).

Back in California, Christy played for the Los Angeles Jr. Kings and Los Alamitos High School.
