Jr. Kings product, Manhattan Beach native Emerson earns weekly CCHA honors

Bowling Green senior forward Quinn Emerson has been named the CCHA Forward of the Week.

Emerson, a native of Manhattan Beach, played a key role in Bowling Green’s non-conference home-and-home series against Big Ten opponent Notre Dame, helping the Falcons earn a pair of ties over the weekend.

The senior recorded four points on one goal and three assists, contributing to four of BGSU’s five total goals against the Fighting Irish. Emerson was especially impactful in Friday’s contest at Notre Dame, where he had a hand in all three Falcon goals, showcasing his play-making ability and offensive awareness.

Emerson’s production helped Bowling Green go toe-to-toe with a Big Ten opponent, as the Falcons battled Notre Dame to a tie on the road before earning another draw in front of a sold-out Slater Family Ice Arena.

The honor marks another strong performance for Emerson during his senior campaign and highlights Bowling Green’s continued success against top-level competition.

Back home, Emerson played for the Los Angeles Jr. Kings.
