Sweeney just wrapped up his third and final season in the NAHL. The San Jose native began his NAHL career in 2021-22, playing a single game with the Chippewa Steel before heading to North Iowa to suit up for the Bulls.

Over the course of 117 games with North Iowa, Sweeney tallied a total of 19 points (three goals, 16 assists).

Additionally, Sweeney was selected to participate in the 2024 Top Prospects Tournament for the Central Division.

In California, Sweeney played for the San Jose Jr. Sharks and St. Francis High School.
