Las Vegas native, Jr. Golden Knights alum Mensch grabs monthly award from USPHL

The USPHL has announced that Las Vegas Thunderbirds’ forward Heath Mensch is Forward of the Month for November.

The T-Birds’ homegrown Las Vegas product has been a walking jackpot of offense from Day 1, going back to last season, the Thunderbirds’ first in the USPHL.

Currently, the 2003-born Mensch has 57 points in 20 games, and out of that total, 19 points were scored in just six November games. Technically, these were scored in five, all part of a short but explosive scoring streak through two series against the Fresno Monsters and the Mountain Division’s Provo Riverblades.

On Nov. 12, Mensch had the overtime game-winner and seven assists as the Thunderbirds beat the Monsters 8-7 after a decisive loss the day before. He also had two hat tricks in the three wins against the Riverblades.

During his youth career, Mensch played for the Vegas Jr. Golden Knights.
