The USPHL announced today that Chase Wainman of the Carolina Jr. Hurricanes has been named USPHL Defenseman of the Week.

Wainman, a 2002 birth year out of Las Vegas, has certainly made the ease of transition from an All-Star Elite season last year to the Premier Division this year.

He posted a goal and two assists in a split weekend against the Hampton Roads Whalers, and also had five hits and 16 takeaways.

Players of the Week this week representing all of the league as only six teams competed last week. Going forward, Players of the Week will be awarded by division.
