Los Gatos native, Jr. Sharks alum Cooley nails down weekly NCHC award
University of Denver sophomore goalie Devin Cooley has been named NCHC Goaltender of the Week.
Returning to the lineup for the first time since Jan. 4, Cooley recorded a 27-save shutout in Denver’s 1-0 win against Minnesota Duluth on Saturday at AMSOIL Arena. The shutout marked Cooley’s third of the season and second against the Bulldogs.
Through 15 games, the Los Gatos native and San Jose Jr. Sharks graduate is 9-4-1 with a 1.93 goals-against average (eighth in the NCAA) and a .934 save percentage (third in the NCAA).
Cooley has a career 1.96 GAA and a .934 save percentage.
