Los Gatos native, Jr. Sharks grad Cooley commits to NCAA D-I Denver
Former San Jose Jr. Sharks goaltender Devin Cooley has committed to play NCAA Division I hockey for the University of Denver (NCHC).
The Pioneers are the defending NCAA Division I national champions.
A Los Gatos native, Cooley played in the North American Prospects Hockey League (NAPHL) for the Jr. Sharks during the 2011-12, 2013-14 and 2014-15 seasons.
This past year, Cooley began the season with the Springfield Jr. Blues (North American Hockey League) and finished with the Wenatchee Wild (British Columbia Hockey League).
During the 2011-12 season, Cooley played for the Jr. Sharks 14U team. During the 2013-14 season, he played for the Jr. Sharks 16U team and then during the 2014-15 season, played for the Jr. Sharks 18U team.
In 2014-15, he played in the 18U All-Star Game, as well as the NAPHL Top Prospects Tournament.
