Cornell senior goalie Ian Shane has been named the ECAC Hockey Goaltender of the Month after posting a 6-1-0 record in seven appearances in March to go along with a 1.50 goals-against average and .944 save percentage (186 saves on 197 shots faced).

The Manhattan Beach native’s 186 saves (26.57 saves per game) were 62 more than Harvard’s Aku Koskenvuo in three more games.

Concluding his season with three consecutive 30-save performances, including a 40-save output in the Big Red’s loss to Boston University on March 29, Shane ended the year with a 17-11-6 record with a 2.21 goals-against average and .905 save percentage.

Back home, Shane starred for the Los Angeles Jr. Kings.
