Manhattan Beach product, Jr. Kings grad Stuart tabbed WHL Rookie of the Week
The WHL has announced that Lethbridge Hurricanes forward Logan Stuart has been named WHL Rookie of the Week for the week ending October 11.
Stuart, an 18-year-old product of Manhattan Beach, recorded six points (three goals, three assists) and a plus-5 rating as the Hurricanes swept a three-game U.S. Division road trip this past week.
After coming up without a point last Wednesday in a 5-3 win at Tri-City, Stuart notched two points (goal, assist) Friday as the Hurricanes doubled up the Spokane Chiefs by a 4-2 score to secure the WHL In-Season Cup. Stuart contributed a power-play assist on the opening goal of the game from Gavin Lesiuk before registering his fourth goal of the campaign with 5:16 to go in the first period, putting the visitors ahead by a 2-0 score. Stuart went on to be named first star of the game.
The following night, Stuart logged four points (two goals, two assists) as the Hurricanes skated to a 4-1 win over the Wenatchee Wild to retain the WHL In-Season Cup. After a goalless first period, it was Stuart opening the scoring with his fifth goal of the campaign coming on a power play with 4:40 remaining in the second period. He kept the good times rolling 1:25 into the third period, striking for the second time on the evening to put Lethbridge in front 2-0. Stuart’s sixth of the season went on to stand as the game-winning goal in the contest. He added assists on third period markers by Dayne Beuker and Cohen Pentney and was named first star of the game.
With 12 points (six goals, six assists) in eight games, Stuart leads the Hurricanes in scoring and is tied for third in points among all WHL skaters. His six goals are also good enough to have him tied for third across the entire WHL.
Selected by the Hurricanes in the second round (36th overall) of the 2023 WHL U.S. Priority Draft, Stuart signed a WHL scholarship and development agreement with Lethbridge on June 5, 2026.
The Los Angeles Jr. Kings alum went on to be selected by the Washington Capitals in the seventh round (208th overall) of the 2026 NHL Draft.
