Palm Springs native, California youth standout Palmersheim tenders with NAHL’s Jackalopes

 

The Des Moines Buccaneers AAA organization of the NAPHL has announced that 18U forward Ben Palmersheim has signed a North American Hockey League tender agreement with the Odessa Jackalopes.

Palmersheim, 18, is in his second season playing for the Bucs 18U team and third season playing in the NAPHL overall.

The Palm Springs native currently leads the team in scoring with 15 points (six goals, nine assists) in 12 NAPHL games.

Overall in 26 games played, Palmersheim has recorded 29 points.

Last season, Palmersheim was third in team scoring for the Bucs’ 18U team with 25 points in 22 NAPHL games and 59 points in 62 games overall.

Prior to playing for Des Moines, Palmersheim spent the 2019-20 season playing in the NAPHL for Tahoe Prep Academy, where he recorded 10 points in 11 NAPHL games and nine points in five Prep championship games.

In addition to Tahoe Prep, Palmersheim skated for the California Wave, Anaheim Jr. Ducks and Los Angeles Jr. Kings during his youth hockey career.
