The USPHL has announced that Seattle Totems blueliner Michael Karvelas is the Northwest Premier Division Defenseman of the Week.

The Totems had a tough weekend against the Pacific’s Fresno Monsters, but Karvelas, an ’04 out of Pasadena, was in on five out of the Totems’ nine goals on the weekend. He put up a goal and added four assists for five points in the three games, improving to seven points in 12 games of his first junior season.

During his youth hockey days, Karvelas skated for the Los Angeles Jr. Kings.
