Pomona native, California youth hockey grad Wilson commits to NCAA D-III Trinity
The NAHL’s Northeast Generals have announced that forward Jacob Wilson has committed to play NCAA Division III hockey for Trinity College (NESCAC).
Wilson is playing his second season in the NAHL with Northeast. The Pomona native appeared in 43 games for the Generals during the 2022-23 season, tallying 16 points (five goals, 11 assists), including three Roberton Cup Playoff games.
The 2003 birth year ramped things up during the 2023-24 season as he recorded more than double the number of points from the season prior. In 57 games, Wilson netted 15 goals with 22 assists for 37 points. Of his 15 goals, five were on the power play, one was short-handed and two were game winners.
During his youth hockey days, Wilson played for the California Wave, Empire Hockey Club, and Anaheim Jr. Ducks.
