San Diego native, California youth hockey alum Ivey takes home weekly NAHL award

The NAHL has announced that the South Division Star of the Week is Amarillo Wranglers forward Jack Ivey.

Ivey recorded at least a point in all three games he played in over the weekend in Amarillo’s sweep over Colorado.

“”We are thrilled to celebrate Jack’s significant achievement of reaching the 30-goal milestone this season,” said Wranglers owner and president Austin Sutter, who is serving as the team’s interim head coach. “Scoring in the competitive South Division is not easy, and Jack’s accomplishment is a testament to his talent and dedication. His consistent approach to each game has not only earned him this accolade but also demonstrates the caliber of player he is developing into.

“We couldn’t be prouder of the season Jack is having.”

Ivey, a native of San Diego, added an assist on Friday night’s 5-1 win. The following night, he posted a goal and an assist where the Wranglers took game two, 8-4. In the final game of the three-in-three series, the Army West Point commit posted two goals in the Wranglers’ 5-2 win.

Ivey has played in 53 games this season where he has gone for 48 points.

Back home, Ivey played for the SDIA Oilers, Anaheim Jr. Ducks and San Diego Jr. Gulls.
