University of Michigan senior forward Jake Slaker has been tabbed the Big Ten Third Star of the Week for the week ending Feb. 17, 2020.

Slaker notched a Big Ten-leading four points on the weekend as Michigan swept Michigan State.

The San Diego native had a two-goal outing on Friday night at Munn Ice Arena in the Wolverines’ 5-1 victory and then added two assists in Michigan’s 4-1 win to capture the Duel in the D trophy at Little Caesars Arena in Detroit.

The two-time Academic All-Big Ten honoree earns his fourth career weekly award and second in as many weeks.

In his youth hockey days, Slaker skated for the UTC Jaguars, Kroc Center Saints, SDIA and the LA Hockey Club.
