San Juan Capistrano native, California youth hockey grad Mulvihill chooses NCAA D-III Tufts

The Central Canada Hockey League’s and Rockland Nationals announced this week that 2001-born San Juan Capistrano native John Mulvihill has committed to NCAA Division III Tufts University for the 2022-23 school year.

Mulvihill is in his first season with the Nationals, where he has totaled 19 points (seven goals, 12 assists) through 22 games.

Prior to his time in the CCHL, the two-way forward suited up for one season with New Hampshire Jr. Monarchs in the NCDC and one season with the NA3HL’s El Paso Rhinos.

Growing up, Mulvihill played for the Los Angeles Jr. Kings and Anaheim Jr. Ducks, as well as for Santa Margarita Catholic High School.
