The NA3HL announced today that El Paso Rhinos forward John Mulvihill has been named the South Division Star of the Week.

Mulvihill and the Rhinos hosted the Atlanta Capitals for a three-game set last week, a tripleheader that saw the San Juan Capistrano native record two goals and five assists for seven points to help his team to three important wins.

After performances with two helpers on Friday and three more on Saturday, Mulvihill then showed his clutch scoring ability on Sunday as he potted both the game-tying and game-winning goals in a 3-2 OT win.

Mulvihill’s first NA3HL campaign has been quite a success thus far, with 17 goals and 23 assists for 40 points in just 22 games this year to lead all Rhinos skaters by a 12-point margin.

During his youth days, Mulvihill played for the Los Angeles Jr. Kings, Anaheim Jr. Ducks and Santa Margarita Catholic High School.
