San Juan Capistrano product Mulvihill garners weekly NA3HL honors
El Paso Rhinos forward John Mulvihill has been named the NA3HL South Division Star of the Week.
It was rivalry week for Mulvihill and the Rhinos this past weekend as El Paso traveled to Oklahoma City and earned a two-game split against the Blazers.
After being held off the scoresheet in Friday’s OT loss, the San Juan Capistrano native was key to El Paso’s bounce-back win on Saturday with his second two-point outing in three games. Down by one early in the second, Mulvihill netted the tying tally, then capped off a four-goal Rhinos outburst with an assist at the end of the frame.
Averaging a point per game, Mulvihill’s two goals and three assists in five games rank tied for fourth on El Paso’s roster.
During his youth days, Mulvihill played for the Los Angeles Jr. Kings, Anaheim Jr. Ducks and Santa Margarita Catholic High School.
