San Juan Capistrano product Mulvihill plans for future, signs NAHL tender with Aberdeen

The El Paso Rhinos of the NA3HL have announced that forward John Mulvihill has signed an NAHL tender agreement with the Aberdeen Wings.

Mulvihill, 19, is in his first season of playing in the NA3HL and second season overall of junior hockey after skating 24 games in 2019-20 with the NCDC’s New Hampshire Jr. Monarchs.

“John is a 200-foot centerman that is relied on to play in all situations,” said Wings coach-GM Scott Langer. “He has the ability to chip in both offensively and defensively.”

A native of San Juan Capistrano, Mulvihill is currently leading the Rhinos in scoring this season with 46 points (18 goals, 28 assists) in just 28 games.

So far during the 2020-21 season, Mulvihill has been honored twice as the NA3HL’s South Division Star of the Week.

Mulvihill played his youth hockey in California for the Los Angeles Jr. Kings, Anaheim Jr. Ducks and Santa Margarita Catholic High School.
