The UCHC announced today that Utica University junior Angela Hawthorne is the UCHC Women’s Goaltender of the Week.

Hawthorne went a perfect 3-0 in net for the Utica this past week with one win over Morrisville and a pair over Alvernia.

The Santa Clara native allowed one goal per game while averaging 22.7 saves per outing. She shined with 34 stops in Tuesday’s win over Morrisville while recording her fourth shutout of the year in Saturday’s 4-0 win over Alvernia.

Back home, Hawthorne spent time with the San Jose Jr. Sharks during her youth hockey career.
