The UCHC has announced that King’s College sophomore forward Jack Cooper is the UCHC Men’s Player of the Week.

A Santa Cruz native, Cooper got off to a hot start to kick off the new campaign, tallying three goals, as King’s went 1-1 to start the year.

In the season opener on Friday, the collected the lone Monarch goal. On Sunday, Cooper led King’s to the program’s first-ever victory over Wilkes by scoring two goals. Cooper opened the scoring in the second period, before adding his second goal later in the frame on a nifty breakaway move.

During his youth days, Cooper skated for the San Jose Jr. Sharks.
