Torrance native, Jr. Kings graduate Bourne signs with WHL’s Rebels for 2022-23 season

The Red Deer Rebels have announced that defenseman Quentin Bourne, the club’s eighth overall selection at the 2021 WHL U.S. Priority Draft, has signed a WHL standard player agreement with the club.

A native of Torrance, Bourne posted 25 points in 54 games this season with the Pittsburgh Penguins Elite 15U team. He previously played with the Los Angeles Jr. Kings program.

“We’re really excited an American player of Quentin’s caliber has chosen the Rebels and WHL to pursue his academic and hockey goals,” said Red Deer associate GM Shaun Sutter. “He is a smooth skating and skilled puck mover who plays an energetic game that our fans will identify with.”

Bourne, a 2006 birth year, is now eligible to join the Rebels’ roster for the 2022-23 season.
