Trio of California products chosen for NA3HL Top Prospects Tournament

The NA3HL has announced the rosters for the 2022 NA3HL Top Prospects Tournament, which will be held from February 7-8, 2022 at the UPMC Lemieux Sports Complex in Cranberry Township, Pa.

The NA3HL Top Prospects Tournament is played in conjunction with the NAHL Top Prospects Tournament. The event is one of the most highly-scouted events of its kind, with hundreds of junior, NCAA and NHL again expected in attendance this season.

Among the players chosen are California natives Ian Bowman (Bozeman Icedogs forward, Palm Desert native), Luke Busher (Bozeman Icedogs defenseman, Palm Desert native) and Tyler Love (Texas RoadRunners forward, San Ramon native).

Back home, Bowman skated for the Desert Blaze, California Wave and Tahoe Prep Academy and played high school hockey for Palm Springs United.

Busher played for the Desert Blaze, Palm Springs United and the Anaheim Jr. Ducks.

Love grew up playing for the Golden State Elite Eagles and Tri-Valley Blue Devils.

The NA3HL standings were frozen on Monday, January 10. Teams were then seeded within their division based on win percentage. The number of players each NA3HL team is sending to the event was based on each team’s winning percentage within their group.

A total of 88 players from the NA3HL will be spread amongst four teams, who will play in two games each during the event. Each team will consist of a 22-man roster (13 forwards, seven defensemen and two goalies). Any player who was considered for the event must have been first nominated by their respective head coaches.
