The USHL’s Green Bay Gamblers announced recently that defenseman Ethan Straky has committed to NCAA Division I Colorado College (NCHC) for the fall of 2022.

The Gamblers selected the 2003-born Straky in the first round of the 2021 USHL Entry Draft.

Last season, Straky suited up for USA Hockey’s National Team Development Program and the Walnut Creek native appeared in 50 games, tallying 16 points on two goals and 14 assists. Straky also appeared in five games at the 2021 IIHF World Junior Championship, notching a goal.

This year for the Gamblers, Straky has compiled two goals and five points in 20 games.
