Jr. Ducks star, Huntington Beach native Tate signs with WHL’s Blazers
The WHL’s Kamloops Blazers have signed 2009-born goaltender Kaeden Tate.
Tate was selected by the Blazers in the second round (23rd overall) of the 2024 U.S. Priority Draft.
“We would like to welcome Kaeden and his family to the Kamloops Blazers Hockey Club,” said Kamloops head coach and general manager Shaun Clouston. “We are excited to be a part of his development over the coming seasons.”
From Huntington Beach, Tate played the 2024-25 season with the Anaheim Jr. Ducks’ 15U AAA team where he had a 1.65 goals-against average and a .927 save percentage in 32 games
Tate, who recently suited up for USA Hockey at the 2025 Under-17 Four Nations Tournament in Plymouth, Mich., in August, attended Blazers training camp earlier this month and will play with the Jr. Ducks’ 16U AAA team for the 2025-26 season.
